Soumitra Dutta is an Indian-born academic, author, and entrepreneur. He laid his academic foundation at the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Delhi before moving to the University of California, Berkeley, where he earned a Ph.D. in Computer Science with a specialization in Artificial Intelligence. His research has consistently focused on how technology—specifically AI and social media analytics—impacts business strategy and national competitiveness.
