When I reached the service centre, I was shocked to see more than 300 scooters parked there in very poor condition, almost like scrap. The staff asked me to leave my scooter there for 4-5 days. As I needed it urgently, they suggested that I visit Sharma Electric instead.
At Sharma Electric, the owner told me that repairing the scooter outside the authorised service centre could be risky and might void the warranty. After that, he started promoting his own Toxomo brand.
The next day, I returned to the Ola service centre in Bhiwadi. After requesting the staff, one of them agreed to work on my scooter. I asked him to raise a service ticket before starting the repair, but he did not raise any ticket. He simply told me there was no problem and started working on the scooter.
When I went to collect my scooter in the evening, he told me to come back the next day because the work was not completed. The error shows is Restart the vehicle issues found.
The next day, he first replaced the motor bearing and installed the motor again. However, the scooter started having restarting issues. After that, he installed an old motor taken from another vehicle, and my scooter started working again.
Even then, the motor noise was still noticeable. Both staff members told me that the noise was coming from the disc brake pads, not the motor.
Later, I sent my office member to the service centre with the scooter for another check. The staff member there took a test ride and again claimed that the noise was coming from the disc brake. He spoke very rudely and said, “If you have so many problems, leave your scooter here and come back after four months.”
They had charged me ₹1,200, but they did not even provide an invoice or bill.
Just two days later, my scooter started having restarting issues again.
I then decided to visit the Ola service centre in Rewari. I had already raised a service ticket online, and we transported the scooter there using another vehicle.
When I reached Rewari, I was shocked to see more than 500 scooters parked there in a similar condition. I became worried that my scooter might also remain there for four months. I felt completely disappointed and demotivated.
Fortunately, the staff inspected my scooter and told me that they had the required motor in stock and that the repair could be completed that very day. I was very happy to hear this.
They recorded a video of the problem and sent it for approval. However, my approval was rejected, possibly because the problem had not been recorded properly. The staff recorded the video again and sent it manually.
The approval process took a long time. When I visited the service centre in the evening, they told me to come back the next day because the approval had not yet arrived.
The next day, approval for a new motor was received, and the motor was replaced. I was very happy that my scooter was finally repaired.
I made the full payment online through Ola's official payment link instead of paying the dealer directly, as the dealer had demanded a higher amount.
My Request to Ola Electric
I request Ola Electric to improve its after-sales service. Customers invest their hard-earned money in electric scooters and expect reliable products, proper repairs, transparent billing, and respectful treatment.
Please improve the service centre experience, ensure that service tickets are raised for repairs, provide proper invoices for every payment, and maintain better communication with customers.
Customers should not have to visit multiple service centres or worry about their scooters being parked for months without proper repairs.
I hope Ola Electric takes these issues seriously and improves its service quality for all customers.
